Dedicated to the life of Paul Field

This site is a tribute to Paul. He is much loved and will always be remembered.

Paul was a very loving father to Elliana and Freddie and much loved partner of Lisa. He was also a beloved son of Lesley and Dave, who they also viewed as a friend too. He was a perfect brother to Nicky, brother-in-law to Deborah and uncle to Pym. Paul was also much loved by wider family as well as friends from his past and present.

Paul sadly passed away from severe acute pancreatitis. On Sunday 12th of June 2022, he went to hospital in excruciating pain with continual vomiting, by Wednesday morning Paul's body could no longer cope and he departed this world. This was very sudden and completely unexpected as many of his tests and scans had come back positively with no signs of gallstones etc. The nurses were throwing it back to the doctors to see how to treat his pain and move forward. Paul had hoped to be home with his family by Sunday (latest) and despite still being in a lot of pain was talking and making plans for the future (both immediately and longer term) on Tuesday evening.

The reason why we are asking for donations in Paul's memory is because there is no effective treatment for acute pancreatitis.

There is no cure.

Guts UK is the only UK charity funding a research fellowship into acute pancreatitis.

GUTS UK are dedicated to finding an effective treatment and a cure for this misunderstood and underfunded condition.

People are suffering, people are dying, all because of a lack of knowledge about how to treat and cure acute pancreatitis effectively.

Donations in Paul's name and memory will hopefully be used to fund life-saving research today in the hope that an effective treatment and hopefully a cure can be found so that no-one has to experience the pain and loss that we are all experiencing now.

Paul will always remain a constant in all our lives, the love we feel for him will always endure coupled with the sadness that he is no longer with us. We all had so many fun times with Paul; at the time we just knew we were 'having fun' and didn't realise how these 'fun times' would evolve into precious memories that will stay with us all forever.

We will live our lives knowing that he loved us all, was proud of us all and try to somehow find a new yet very different way of living without him.

We all love you Paul and will continue too forever and always.

Thank you for everything and for just always being you.
